Casa Grande è una scenografia luminosa, costruita come un grande lampadario sospeso a mezz’aria fra il Teatro e l’Università, che per due mesi ha fatto luce nella piazza, trasformandola in un salone a cielo aperto. L’opera è adesso permanentemente installata in via Azzo Gardino 10.
“Davvero in quel momento mi sembrò di essere altrove, di aver raggiunto la meta del mio viaggio. Da lì non volevo più andarmene, ci ero già stato centinaia di anni prima, ma lo avevo dimenticato, ed ecco che ora tutto ritornava in me. Trovavo nella piazza l’ostentazione della densità, del calore della vita che sento in me stesso. Mentre mi trovavo lì, io ero quella piazza. A bright stage set, a giant midair chandelier, hung between the Theatre and the University illuminated the square for two months, transforming it in a big hall under the open sky. The work is now permanently installed in Via Azzo Giardino 10.
